Heritage Butchers & Bakers with a modern twist

We have now been trading from the High Street in Holme upon Spalding more for over 150 years which is now the hub of our operations. From humble beginnings the business started out as a traditional butcher’s shop supplying locally reared Beef, Pork & Lamb.

The Business changed when we started making pork pies over 30 years ago and our baked goods have developed from there. Holmemade bakery was to come next further up the high street to co-inside with our ever so popular butchers’ shop which sees passing trade throughout the day for hot & cold sandwiches, pastries, and cakes. We also developed a wholesale arm of over 100 customers that include establishment such as cafes, pubs, farms shops & retail outlets across Yorkshire.

Business growth over the years has come from hard work and determination from the heads of the family (Tim & Dawn) and now with the help of all of us (Amy, Henry & Lily) working in all aspects of the business we have been able to open two more stores in the past five years in Pocklington & Selby.

The demand for locally sourced produce and animal welfare is something that is close to our hearts, and we believe as an organisation we do everything in our power to provide the highest quality produce with the welfare of the animal put first. Having built great relationships with farmers and producers in our area our food miles from field to fork can be as low as seven miles.

With now employing up to 70 staff across four sites we aim to deliver a quality product with a service to match. Our staff represent us as a family and as a company with a high proportion of them working for us for over 10 years.
